Actalent Process Engineer in Chester, Virginia

Job Title: Process EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a mid-level Process Engineer capable of designing, specifying, and evaluating process systems in the chemical process industries. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-discipline engineering team to meet project requirements. Projects may include feasibility studies, basic engineering, conceptual design, or detailed design.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

  • Interpret and develop material and energy balances.

  • Analyze complex process-related issues and provide effective solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • 7+ years of experience in design engineering or technology licensing organization.

  • Strong knowledge of chemical engineering, process engineering, and manufacturing processes.

  • Professional Engineering registration (preferred).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in continuous and process improvement.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

This position requires onsite work in an industrial setting. The successful candidate will join a rapidly growing organization with a fully developed leadership team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
