Aerotek Industrial Electrician (Up To 35/hr) in CHESAPEAKE, Virginia
Responsibilities:
Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical issues in the facility, including PLCs, AC drives, and HMIs.
Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Installation: Install and modify electrical components and control systems as needed.
Project Assistance: Support electrical engineers with capital projects and other large-scale initiatives.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and updates in the Asset Essentials program.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaboration: Work with mechanical technicians and other team members to resolve complex issues.
Qualifications:
Experience: At least 5 years of experience with electrical equipment and components.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, AC drives, HMIs, and other electrical systems.
Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise and accurate work.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
Certification: Must be able to maintain a forklift license issued by Mitsubishi12.
Work Environment:
Industrial Setting: Typically involves working in a manufacturing facility with exposure to temperature changes and moving equipment.
Safety Gear: Required to wear safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and an air-purifying respirator.
