The OPTIMA team is seeking an experienced Program Manager to drive compliance audit program to shape the future of privacy, risk, and compliance! Drive impactful projects that safeguard our reputation and ensure regulatory excellence

OPTIMA is a global team and enables Amazon to deliver a superior shopping experience to customers worldwide. Our mission is to empower Amazon's LLMs through Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) across various categories at high speed. We aspire to provide an end-to-end data solution for the LLM lifecycle, leveraging cutting-edge technology alongside our operational excellence. We enable shopping feature teams deliver superior CX quality by providing them reliable and comprehensive insights and ground truth data to measure and train ML (Machine Learning) models and handle annotation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) across 10 different languages

Key job responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain the compliance audit program, including policies, procedures, and methodologies, to ensure effectiveness and alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

  2. Lead the execution of compliance audits, including data collection, documentation review, interviews, and on-site inspections. Analyze audit findings, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to address non-compliance issues

  3. Collaborate with business units, legal, and other stakeholders to ensure prompt implementation of corrective actions and ongoing compliance. Also, monitor the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions and provide regular progress updates to senior management and relevant committees.

  4. Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards, and proactively identify potential compliance impacts. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and prioritize audit activities accordingly

  5. Conducts Gemba walks across sites to identify potential compliance gaps, risks, or areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with all relevant privacy, employment, and regulatory requirements, both domestic and international.

  6. Prepare and present audit reports, metrics, and dashboards to senior management as required.

  7. Provide training, support, and guidance to employees on risk management best practices and compliance requirements.

  8. Champion and promote a systemic culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent

  • Experience handling confidential information

  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.

  • Experience writing business documents, MBRs, project proposal, etc.

  • Certification such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements

  • Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials

  • Experience with SQL and Excel
