We are looking for high-potential, flexible, innovative, and forward-thinking professionals to join our India Operations team.
Join the Operations team as City Manager for India Ultra Fast Fresh network. As City Manager you will be responsible for direct people management experience in driving operational performance in a highly metric driven environment. You will also lead many process improvement projects for the site and network both, closely work with multiple stakeholder, drive enhancements in key metrics like Quality, Speed and Cost. One of your key responsibilities will also be development of your team members. You must be flexible to work weekends and/or overnight shifts and to travel to intra-city sites to launch, set up & monitor operations.
Key job responsibilities
Drives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Areas for all the FCs/locations to meet and exceed Business Plan. Sets / clarifies requirements and expectations for all the FC Site leaders. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds FC Site manager accountable for their performance and the performance of their FC. Leverages the Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area. Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and among the network. Works on improving process efficiency and setting up new process required for Wholesale operation. Works closely with support staff (HR Manager, Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, IT Manager) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in his/her area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives. Able to address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area. Surface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas, along with ideas for solutions and share the same with Senior Manager and / or HR. Coordinates with S&OP team for load balancing and future plan requirement, to adequately prepare the operation to meet business needs. Interacts with the transportation team to enable smooth operations at outbound, ensuring steady flow and timely dispatch of customer orders. Ø Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable functional areas to meet and exceed business plan. Ø Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of operations. Ø Will set and clarify requirements and expectations for Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments. Basic Qualifications
3+ years of employee and performance management experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
