We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Controller will oversee the Accounting and Finance department, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with policies. The role involves managing financial analysis, ensuring SOX compliance, and assisting with board package preparation.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the accounting department operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Drive month-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded
• Prepare and present financial statements and reports
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of the board package
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to guide business decisions
• Ensure compliance with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and other relevant policies and procedures
• Use SAP Business ByDesign and Microsoft Excel for financial management and analysis
• Oversee and manage budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct regular auditing of financial processes, systems, and transactions.
Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Controller.
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Demonstrated experience in auditing, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accuracy.
• Proven ability in managing budget processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Familiarity with SAP Business ByDesign software for managing business operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
• Experience with month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting to inform strategic decision-making.
• Knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements and best practices.
