Job Title: Bulk Loader

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Bulk Loader to join our team. This role involves working in bulk truck and railcar loading operations, ensuring all equipment is operated safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following schedules, performing sanitation, and conducting preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment required to load bulk trucks and railcars.

• Work safely on top of a bulk truck or railcar using appropriate fall protection.

• Follow a schedule to ensure orders are loaded by the correct departure time.

• Perform sanitation and some preventative maintenance.

• Work outside in all weather conditions.

• Direct other employees in proper safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures.

• Learn about and operate all equipment in the bulk house.

• Adhere to all safety and food safety rules and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Basic problem-solving skills.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to stand and walk continuously for 8-12 hours if necessary.

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.

• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds/23 kilograms.

• Reliable transportation to and from work on all shifts and weekends.

• Ability to rotate shifts, provide job coverage, and work some weekends.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools and mechanical assembly.

• General labor and unloading experience.

• Forklift operation skills.

• Experience in a warehouse environment.

• Previous production and loader experience.

Work Environment - Shift

This position requires working in bulk truck and railcar loading operations with a focus on safety and efficiency. Employees will work outside in all weather conditions and must be prepared to work night shifts from 6pm to 6:30am on a 4 on, 4 off rotation schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHATTANOOGA, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $20.00/hr.
