The Octapharma Group Senior Network Security Engineer role is to develop and maintain the high and low-level design plans for the overall logical and technical network security architecture and cyber security systems. This role will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network security solutions across the global network infrastructure. This role will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our network and data, while proactively addressing potential security threats.
Sr. Network Security Engineer
This is What You’ll Do:
Design, implement, and manage advanced network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network security administration and appropriate use.
Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to all Octapharma local Network Engineers, Network Administrators, and other Network Engineers.
Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all network security procurement and development efforts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of security measures.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network security configuration, network mapping, processes, and services
Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services
Review new and existing network security designs, projects, and procurement
Recommend improvements and/or alternatives on the company’s existing systems security architecture and technology portfolio
Lifecycle management and ownership of multiple technolgies and network security product types
Licensing goverance and mangement of multiple enterprise agreements
Provide mentorship and guidance to all network engineers and other IT staff
This is What It Takes:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in network security, with a focus on global or enterprise environments
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CCNP Security
Experience with developing strategic plans, organization goals, and objectives
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience managing, developing, and delivering strategic network architectural design and operational excellence
Experience with Cisco security product portfolio: Cisco Firepower, Cisco Meraki Security Appliance, Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco XDR
10-25% travel domestically and internationally
