About this role
Commercial HVAC Operations is searching for a Materials Planning Specialist at our Charlotte factory location.
This position can be a great opportunity for a veteran to transition into materials planning. Take responsibility for the supply and demand planning process; make moderate improvements to systems and processes to enhance performance; and work with suppliers and internal teams to meet customer requirements and KPIs.
The Material Planning Specialist will work onsite at our Charlotte facility.

Key Responsibilities
Develop strategies for materials planning and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP)
Responsible for the development of standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery
Responsible for the development of indicators that enable visibility to short and long-term market trends and demand
Identify appropriate demand streams and establish data relationship linkages
Work with product development leaders and sales and marketing teams to develop demand forecasts
Responsible for planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations
Work with the manufacturing team and develop monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters
Identify and develop new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability
Responsible for tracking appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement
Responsible for the development of processes and plans to improve supply capabilities
Establish clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma
3+ years of planning or military experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Leadership experience
Strong analytical verbal and written English communication skills
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Demonstrated project management skills
SAP experience preferred
Experience communicating and interacting with international vendors preferred
Ability to work cohesively with various departments and outside vendors
