Allied Universal Full Time Ambassador Supervisor in Charlotte, North Carolina

Allied Universal® is hiring a Ambassador Supervisor. The Ambassador Supervisor will the Ambassadors are providing a memorable and welcoming experience for everyone visiting our vibrant city center. Supervisors will ensure Ambassadors promote a positive downtown experience by providing enhanced hospitality and security functions throughout Downtown Orlando (DTO). Ambassadors are a reflection of the City Beautiful, and often provide the first “person-to-person” interaction visitors have within the downtown area. Acting as First Impression Specialists for DTO, and often patrolling on bike, Ambassadors must create positive, friendly, and helpful interactions with all members of the public, which may include families, residents, students, business owners, workers, concert goers, performers, shoppers, and tourists.

Must be able to Walk/ Stand for Long Periods of Time

Ability to work without direct supervision (during shift)

Ability to supervise and manage shift per client and AUS requirements.

Work Outside for Long Periods of Time

At least 1+ year of Security Experience

Must Have a Valid Driver's License and a Good Driving Record

Customer Service Experience

Full Time/Hourly Positions /Paid Weekly

Shifts Available: Evening 12PM - 8PM Sunday and Monday days off

$20 / hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the (Business Improvement District) BID Ambassador program

  • Supervise and manage BID Ambassadors; scheduling, training, and evaluating the performance of BID Ambassadors, and providing guidance and support as needed

  • Ensure compliance with BID policies and procedures; monitoring the work of BID Ambassadors to ensure that they are following established policies and procedures, and taking corrective action as necessary

  • Coordinate with other organizations and stakeholders; working with other organizations and stakeholders, such as local businesses, government agencies, and community groups, to promote the BID area and address issues related to safety, cleanliness, and other concerns

  • Manage the BID budget; managing the budget for the BID Ambassador program, developing financial reports, and monitoring expenses

  • Prepare and submit reports; preparing and submitting regular reports on the performance of the BID Ambassador program, including data on visitor satisfaction, safety, and other key metrics

  • Participate in meetings and trainings; participating in meetings with other supervisors, BID management and other organizations and agencies, as well as attending trainings to stay current on best practices and new developments in the field

  • Ensure the BID area is safe; be aware of potential safety hazards, reporting any issues to the appropriate authorities, and working with local organizations to keep the area safe

  • Assist Outreach and Safety managers with scheduling of personnel

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Current driver’s license

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

  • Minimum of one (1) year verifiable and successful supervisory experience

  • Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)

  • Strong leadership, communication and management skills, and ability to work well with diverse groups of people

  • Outreach and community service experience
