Job Overview
Performing maintenance and mechanical duties ranging in responsibility from preventative maintenance and repair activities, troubleshooting equipment failures and ability to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility in a cGMP chemical facility.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair equipment failure.
Diagnoses problems and repairs malfunctioning rotating equipment.
Measure, cut, fit and assemble threaded, welded and glued joint pipe.
Replace appropriate pump and agitator seals.
Unload bulk liquids from tank trucks.
Responsible for maintenance of all equipment control systems plant wide.
Take readings, test steam chemicals, operate and maintain boilers in steam plant.
Oversee maintenance and operation of cooling towers, fire protection, WFI and other utility operating systems.
Complete set ups, as required.
Complete own line entry, hot work and confined space permits.
Implement lubrication and preventative maintenance programs.
Welding repair and fabrication work as needed.
Minor piping insulation work as needed.
Assist with installation of new equipment.
Perform minor instrument calibrations as needed.
Assist with weekend and holiday perimeter security.
Responsible for monitoring operational status of emergency generator.
Ability to utilize the CMMS to locate spare parts I Maintenance Stores area.
Occasional activities relating to departmental goals, not specifically detailed in this section.
Qualifications/Skills
- High School Diploma
Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements
Must be able to wear a respirator (training is provided)
Must be able to work in confined space (training is provided)
Must be able to climb ladders
Must be able to do overhead work, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
