Job Overview
The Process Engineering Intern will be responsible for assisting with and supporting process engineering activities in a cGMP regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Internships are approximately 6 months in length running from January to mid-summer and mid-summer to December. Summer internships lasting approximately 3 months running from May to August are also available to qualified candidates with previous experience.
Responsibilities
Supports process engineers on making process improvements by gathering data, designing experiments, optimizing parameters, and evaluating alternative equipment.
Demonstrates an appreciation for personal and process safety in a regulated manufacturing facility.
Adheres to the regulatory systems as they relate to manufacturing operations in a pharmaceutical environment (i.e. cGMP compliance, training)
Assists with writing and reviewing manufacturing batch records and cleaning batch records.
Supports cGMP documentation updates (Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.).
Participates on cross-functional teams focused on departmental goals/initiatives.
Qualifications/Skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficient in windows based computer environment including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements
Working toward degree in Chemical Engineering
Completion of Sophomore year of college coursework preferred.
GMP experience or knowledge is a plus
