Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the finance industry for a Controller based in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. This role is key to our operations, overseeing crucial accounting processes and collaborating with diverse teams to ensure effective financial management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the processes of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoice processing and payment management.
• Contribute to the creation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, while adhering to accounting standards and regulations.
• Perform bank reconciliations, comparing bank statements with general ledger accounts, identifying discrepancies, creating journal entries, and resolving any outstanding issues.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights that will aid in strategic decision-making.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and accruals, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor bank transactions and ensure they are accurately recorded in the accounting system, making necessary adjustments and corrections as needed.
• Manage and maintain our ERP system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial data entry and retrieval.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing input and analysis to aid in strategic planning and cost management.
• Communicate directly with customers and vendors to manage collections and handle accounts payable and agings.
• Facilitate smooth running of finance operations through effective internal and external communication. Requirements • Proficiency in 3M
• Experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with CRM
• Ability to use Crystal Reports
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Auditing
• Knowledge of Budget Processes
