AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

The responsibilities will include partner development thru AWS APN programs and technology enablement, business and solution development with Technology (ISV), Consulting (G/SI) partners, contribution to HK industry partner strategy, managing and driving strategic CXO-level relationships with industry customers and partners. By establishing and growing business and technical relationships, and managing the day-to-day interactions with this partner, you will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth, capability development, major strategic agreements, and overall end customer adoption across selected market segments.

Preferably, you will possess industry partner background and/or consulting experience in the field of either Financial Services (FSI), Retail, Constructions, ESG, Media and Entertainment. You will interact with partners, enterprise customers and internal sales/field reps. The position also requires a strong technical acumen, a combination of both cloud infrastructure and industry solutions. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about new business models, solution selling, and partner engagement to help build and convey compelling value propositions for AWS customers through AWS Partners.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with cross team within AWS (Business Development, Industry Specialist, Solution Architect, Partner Sales, Marketing) to identify industry partner and solutions, define and execute partner development and joint go-to-market programs.

  • Identify specific customer segments and industry verticals to approach with a joint value proposition for using AWS. Identify, develop and manage Technology (ISV), and Consulting (G/SI) partners thru skills enablement, market development, solution development, pipeline generation and business engagements.

  • Prioritize AWS investment in regional industry partners who focus business development in Hong Kong and/or local HK headquartered industry partners who expand their business in other countries. Engage the partner’s field sales organization, channels, and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS.

  • Ensure that AWS is the partner’s preferred cloud computing and delivery platform including but not limited to AWS Solution Library, Generative-AI and AWS Marketplace.

  • Execute AWS partnership programs and take ownership on Return-On-Investment (ROI). Mange contract negotiations and serve as a liaison to the legal group.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Channel and alliance experience, including but not limited to sell-to, sell-with and sell-thru motion.

  • Prior experience in developing or selling industry solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing channel and alliance relationships in Hong Kong and Greater China region to deliver sustainable revenue growth.

  • Experience working within enterprise and industry solutions, cloud technology provider, system integrators or local ISVs.
