The Digital Product & Delivery (DPD) Rotational Analyst Program was created to cultivate future leaders that have the requisite knowledge of the company, its culture, and how technology products deliver value to the consumer and shareholder. We are looking for diverse, highly-motivated team members who want to come grow and lead the lending experience change with us.
The program has openings for Rotational Analysts to join our incoming cohorts for January or June 2025, and by hiring recent college graduates with fresh perspectives and modern technology skills, the company will be able to instill its values and core competencies in future leaders who can challenge and optimize current practices. Given the immersive and rotational nature of the program, analysts will be able to gain deep understanding of individual product teams and the company as a whole while building relationships amongst peer groups and existing Pennymac leadership. Rotational Analysts should be able to assess their learned skills in relation to core competencies of a product analyst and beyond.
A Typical Day
Participate in organizational analysis to identify current capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement
Perform knowledge transfer through training documentation and transition plans to incoming Rotational Analysts to set them up for success in that rotation
Provide feedback to leadership on the goals and effectiveness of the program
Gather business requirements that affect technology systems, and engage with technology partners to develop solution through technology change process
Write and communicate requirements and user stories with acceptance criteria following standardized Agile framework
Work effectively inside a Scrum or Kanban team
Collaborate with Tech Leads and UAT to define when user stories are done
Manage stakeholders and teams of people across functional areas to implement a project
Coordinate risk assessment and use risk assessment output to help mitigate risks to project
Participate in backlog grooming sessions for ongoing roadmap planning
Execute on test script developed in design and implementation phases
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
What You’ll Bring
4 Year college degree (Bachelor) or equivalent work experience graduating in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025
Must be available for start date of the program for the January (January 21, 2025) and June (June 16, 2025) cohorts respectively
Exposure to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Exposure to Agile methodologies
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills
Highly proficient in the G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc)
Data analysis experience a plus
Knowledge of BI Tools a plus
Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence a plus
Must be a team player with strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently
Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and mathematical skills, using sound judgment
Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
