Mechanical Assembler One Weekend Nights Friday - Sunday from 6:00pm - 6:00am 36 hours per weekend will be paid for 40 hours. Starting Hourly Rate: $17.50 Canonsburg, PA

Position Summary Assemble various mechanical and basic electrical configurations for electrical distribution systems using skill and precision.

Essential Functions

  • Interpret shop drawings and wiring diagrams with accuracy.
  • Utilize Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify component parts and execute assembly sequences.
  • Perform electrical connections according to specifications.
  • Assemble parts, ensuring precise alignment and fastening using both manual and power tools.
  • Conduct modifications on parts as needed, employing various machine and hand tools.
  • Measure parts meticulously to determine tolerances, using precision instruments.
  • Apply labels and identifying marks on parts to maintain organization.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in tool selection, identifying the appropriate tools and equipment for the job.
  • Strong oral comprehension skills to understand instructions effectively.
  • Ability to operate a range of cordless hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
  • Preferred familiarity with reading shop drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Capability to read a standard tape measure accurately.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Preferred minimum of one year of manufacturing experience.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Lifting: Capable of occasional lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs ; frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Finger Dexterity: Precision in handling small objects and components.
  • Manual Dexterity: Swift manipulation of tools and objects.
  • Arm-Hand Steadiness: Maintain steady hands and arms during tasks.
  • Vision: Ability to discern details at close range, including differentiating wire colors.
