DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Position Title: Drafter, A&E Construction Drawings I, II, III, Sr* (T1, T2, T3, T4)

Role The Drafter is responsible for the development of telecommunication designs and drawing deliverables in a team environment, which will entail working with construction managers, engineers, and municipalities. They will also ensure civil, mechanical, and electrical designs are being created to the appropriate standards and guidelines. As needed the Drafter will assist in or lead complex projects and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities * Interpret both proposed designs and redlines into standard construction deliverables * Utilize the Crown designated programs to complete assigned tasks within expected timeframes while proactively communicating risks and barriers * Assist in development of necessary templates used to create civil, mechanical, and electrical designs * Lead in development and maintenance of civil, mechanical, and electrical block library * Assists management with reporting requests around cost savings and completed designs * Provide feedback on processes and standards aimed at improving both quality and efficiency of the overall team * Lead quality control of civil, mechanical, and electrical designs completed by the team before sending to field, permitting teams or any of the service partners * Collaborate with cross-functional partners and design team/engineers to solve complex design issues, partner with the design team as a support in solving design issues * Drive continued development of technical aptitude, software knowledge, and customer configurations * Support the development and execution of training materials and technical documentation * Identify and propose innovative solutions for process improvement * Support other projects as assigned or required
Education/Certifications * AutoCAD certificate or technical degree required or equivalent professional experience * Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical drafting preferred
Experience/Minimum Requirements * Must be proficient in AutoCAD * One (1) to eight (8) or more years working in Engineering/Design Department * Wireless communications knowledge preferred

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
