Responsible for creating and executing lesson plans, including plans for substitute teachers when absent. Specific duties will be to: (1) provide direct and indirect instruction to students using a variety of techniques and clear objectives, modifying curriculum as needed; (2) create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to maturity of students; (3) observe and evaluate student performance so as to supervise, educate and support students in accomplishing learning benchmarks; (4) enforce classroom and school rules; (5) maintain accurate and complete records and reports; and (6) develop effective communication plans, and, meet and confer with students parents, administrators, and other professionals.
