U.S. Marine Corps SUPERVISORY FACILITY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Camp Foster, Japan

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FACILITY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS PACIFC-MARINE CORPS BASE BUTLER of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER. ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below. Responsibilities You will establish Maintenance Execution Plan (MEP) as outlined in MCO 11000.5. You will work closely with Operations Officer, OPS Chief, and others within the Operations Section, shop supervisors and other personnel as needed in execution of responsibilities. You will serve as final authority within the section in interpreting regulations and resolving problems encountered in preparation and execution of work requirements. You will establish a systematic annual inspection of Base facilities and systems. You will establish Long Range Maintenance Plan (LRMP) as outlined in MCO 11000.5. You will forecast of all work required to maintain and repair facilities in accordance with established maintenance standards and policy over a five-year period. You will provide required data for MCICOM One-Time-Authority (OTA) request and prepares DD Form 1391 for the execution of projects exceeding the local funding thresholds according to MCO 11000.5. You will initiate service tickets, prepares Engineering Service Requests (ESR) and requests planning estimates based on inspection reports or other work requests, as necessary. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and inspecting facility operations, programming facility requirements and contract oversight pertaining to facility projects. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily. Military Spouses and Family Members may apply 30 days before their anticipated arrival date. However, they will not receive preference until arrival at the foreign location. Additional documentation may be required prior to granting preference. Military spouses and family members who are appointed may not extend longer than 2 months following the transfer of the sponsor from the commuting area of the foreign duty station; 2 months beyond the separation of the appointee's sponsor; or any time beyond the time employee ceases to be a family member. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
