If you have strong organizational and problem solving skills with a passion for career growth and development, then this role is for YOU! Apply TODAY for immediate cosideration!* _ Primary Role_ Assist and support Compliance and Ethics Department in responding to and resolving investigations related to the Code of Ethics and Data analysis to monitor and measure participation, impact, and meaning of compliance projects, like annual Code of Ethics training, Conflicts of Interest, and Data Privacy. _ Key Accountabilities_ * Assist Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Corporate Compliance with data management, data analytics, and reporting requirements. * Assist Director and Legal Counsel conduct investigations by “sitting second chair” on interviews, requesting, reviewing, and summarizing relevant evidence. * Analyze and create reports on data collected from Code of Ethics investigations, using the repository for all internal investigation documentation, EthicsPoint. * Analyze and report on data collected from the annual training and other topic-specific or location-specific trainings. * Analyze and report on data collected from the annual Conflict of Interest Disclosure process. * Analyze and report on data collected as part of the Data Privacy program. * Communicate status of investigations and evidentiary findings to team members and various stakeholders as necessary. * Assist with editing annual Code of Ethics training and other online and in person trainings conducted by the department. * Assist Compliance Sr. Analyst with various compliance initiatives, including updates to policies and practices, monitoring the shared team email inbox, and submitting invoices for payment. * Help prepare powerpoints and other materials for internal meetings and trainings. _ Knowledge/Skills_ * Advanced knowledge of personal computing, MS Office Suite applications, internet options/sites. * Advanced knowledge working with both databases and data analytics, including advanced MS Excel and Learning Management Systems. * Analytical ability to spot issues, identify what evidence is relevant, and draw conclusions. * Good communication skills, verbal and in writing. * Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build partnerships across the business with partners like Human Resources, Information Technology, Physical Security, and our operations teams in states across the country. * Knowledge and ability of project management; to work on and juggle multiple projects within competing deadlines. * Demonstrated good judgement and follow through. * Online LMS Systems, Training Programs * Computer Savvy * Technology Savvy * Interest in corporate ethics and good governance. * Problem solving * Critical Thinking * Curiosity * Detail-oriented * Flexibility * Team player _ Experience/Education_ * Minimum 3 years related experience required. * Specific utility experience is preferred. * Associate Degree Preferred or equivalent work experience. * Bachelor's Degree Preferred, _ Work Environment_ * Indoor office environment. * Hybrid work schedule(3 days in the office 2 remote) Competencies Champions safety Customer obsessed Cultivates innovation Nimble learning Drives Results Collaborates * Join American Water...We Keep Life Flowing™ * American Water is firmly committed to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and prohibits employment discrimination for employees and applicants based on his or her age, race, color, pregnancy, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, marital status, citizenship, or because they are an individual with a disability, protected veteran or other status protected by federal, state, and local laws.
