    Job Description

OPERATIONS AND EVENTS ASSISTANT, Sloan School of Management-Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship, to provide interpretation of and resolution to highly varied situations and problems and functions as a high-level individual contributor. Will serve as the front line of support for students, faculty, and guests visiting the center. Responsibilities include ensuring the space is welcoming and well maintained; addressing facility and custodial concerns by serving as the primary contact with MIT/Sloan service providers and external contractors; overseeing the center’s card access system and ensuring conference room technology and reservation systems work appropriately; resetting the center space each morning, including restocking of supplies to make sure that it is presentable; managing supply reorders on a regular basis; reconciling facility- and event-related expenses while ensuring that costs remain within budget; assisting with planning and executing on programs and events; and delivering customer service and logistical support on course delivery days, including acting as a point of contact. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; three years’ administrative, office, or related experience; excellent customer service and organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to develop a process and follow through; ability to communicate effectively both in person and in writing; and experience planning and executing events. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree; good interpersonal skills; ability to clearly convey expectations and policy compliance; discretion and judgment with confidential information and/or issues; and experience interacting with students and faculty in higher education. Job #24202-5Hourly rate: $25.00 - 29.00, based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity. Generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.Some early morning, late evening, and weekend work can be expected on course delivery days.Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check.7/8/24
