Our client, an Aerospace company is seeking a Material Planner II to join their team.

Job Title: Material Planner II

Location: Camarillo, CA

What’s the Job?

As a Material Planner II, you will take on a more senior role in the procurement and inventory management of materials to support production operations and meet customer demand

• You will leverage your experience and expertise to optimize supply chain processes, manage inventory levels, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Develop and implement material planning strategies and tactics to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory costs.

• Analyze demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory data to generate accurate material requirements plans (MRP) and ensure timely procurement of materials.

• Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times, and establish strong relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply of materials.

• Monitor and track supplier performance metrics, including on-time delivery, quality, and lead time variability, and take proactive measures to address any issues or discrepancies.

• Assist cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and efficiency gains in materials planning, procurement, and inventory management.

What’s Needed?

• Meet ITAR Requirements (If U.S. Citizen, must provide US Passport/US Birth Certificate, if not a US CItizen must provide a Permanent Resident Card/Foreign Passport)

• Associate degree or 3-5 years of experience and HSD Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, materials management best practices, and inventory control techniques.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills for materials planning, data analysis, and reporting. Experience in SAP as an MRP systems Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

• Experience driving process improvements and implementing efficiency gains in materials planning and inventory management.

• Certification or advanced training in supply chain management or materials planning (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).

• Experience with demand planning software, forecasting tools, and advanced analytics techniques. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and Six Sigma concepts.
