Render Security Engineering Computer Security Systems Analyst in California, Maryland

Render is seeking a highly skilled Computer Security Systems Analyst to support and manage critical IT systems for various Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) programs. This dual-role position combines system administration duties with a focus on security, ensuring the protection and optimal performance of both hardware and software components. This is an on-site position supporting work in St. Inigoes, Maryland

**Functional Description: Analyzes and defines Cybersecurity requirements for Multiple Security Levels (MSL) systems and non-MLS systems. Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions to MLS and non-MLS requirements. Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's missions, goals, and requirements, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the Cybersecurity arena.

Key Responsibilities:

  • *System Administration and Management: *
    • Install, configure, and maintain both Windows and Linux operating systems across a variety of mission-critical platforms.
    • Manage and perform system backups and disaster recovery tasks to ensure data integrity.
    • Create and maintain system baselines, images, and deployment processes for fielded components.
    • Maintain detailed inventories of both hardware and software assets for efficient system management.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly, minimizing system downtime.
    • Configure and manage domain integration within the new network enclave.
    • Set up and maintain Organizational Units (OUs) and group policies to align with organizational structure and security policies.
    • Configure and manage VDI infrastructure to ensure optimal user accessibility, performance, and security.
    • Set up a syslog server for centralized logging, monitoring, and event analysis.
  • *Security and Risk Management: *
    • Conduct regular vulnerability scans using tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Nessus to identify system weaknesses.
    • Implement patch management processes by retrieving, testing, and installing necessary patches in a timely manner.
    • Apply security hardening processes in accordance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to enhance system security posture.
    • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with cyber security policies, procedures, and best practices in a DoD environment.
  • *Documentation and Compliance: *
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for systems, configurations, and security measures to support compliance and operational continuity.
    • Assist in preparing and maintaining documentation for audits, assessments, and certifications.

Required Qualifications:

Five to twelve years of related experience
