Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Caledonia, Michigan
Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This role will primarily involve support for the accounts payable function of a local school district.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate entry of invoices for the accounts payable department
• Assisting with the execution of weekly check runs
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various tasks related to accounts payable
• Reconciling account information as needed
• Managing data entry tasks for the department
• Processing of customer invoices in line with standard procedures
• Ensuring the accurate coding of invoices
• Handling vendor invoice entries as required
• Regularly updating and maintaining customer credit records
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions.
Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, with a strong understanding of the process and its importance in financial reporting.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), including tracking credits and debits, processing payments, and maintaining vendor files.
• Ability to conduct check runs accurately and efficiently, ensuring the company's financial liabilities are met on time.
• Experience in coding invoices in accordance with the company's expense tracking system.
• Strong data entry skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in invoice processing, with the ability to review, sort, and process invoices for payment.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.
• Experience in coding invoices, ensuring that each invoice is correctly categorized for financial tracking.
• Ability to handle customer invoices, including creating, sending, and tracking payments.
• Experience in entering invoices into the company's financial system, ensuring accurate and timely recording of expenses.
• Proficiency in entering vendor invoices, with an understanding of the importance of accurate data entry in vendor management.
• Ability to manage all aspects of invoice processing, from receipt to payment, ensuring the company's financial obligations are met.
