POSITION SUMMARY

Main purpose of job is to ensure that all packaging materials for Nestlé products in MENA are aligned with our Nestle Sustainability roadmap, safe and compliant with legal and Nestlé standards and guidelines.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

  • Building MENA Sustainability roadmap, maintaining reporting to all stakeholders, Management of quality related issues regarding safety & compliance of packaging materials and promotional items: Validating conformity declarations with regard to food contacting materials; assisting in interpretation of analyzed results; supporting the development of HACCP studies, surveillance plans and monitoring plans; and furthermore assistance in issues of consistence.

  • Safety and Quality: Ensuring compliance with Nestlé policies, guidelines and national and European laws and regulations for food packaging and promotional items. Cooperation with NQAC, PTC / R&D & Packaging Specialist.

  • Participation in supplier audits and approval of suppliers. Support to QA regarding the safety and compliance part of the audits.

  • Consumer inquiries and complaints. Support to QA for consumer inquiries regarding Sustainability, Packaging A30safety and compliance issues.

  • Apply Nestlé Strategy (Packaging sustainability initiative) in the market implementing Nestlé GI and being aligned with the Zone AOA.

  • Participation in workshops (internal / external) and organizations.

  • People development by coaching factory specialist

ARE YOU A FIT?

  • Education profile: Completed scientific degree (e.g. food chemistry, food technology, or a similar scientific education)

  • Fluent in English, plus basic knowledge in French.

  • Education experience:

  • Legal evaluation of food and utensils (e.g. at least one-year practical training in a chemical research department in line with the education to a food chemist) and also in the field of quality management in the food industry or in the packaging industry.

  • Experience in chemical analysis including modern methods of analysis (e.g. HPLC, GS-MS, LC-MS, FT-IR) in the packaging field.

  • Audits of packaging material manufacturers.

  • Ability to communicate his/her passion for packaging and to transform business needs into packaging functions.

  • Ability to drive change management.
