The Accounts Payable / Accounting Coordinator is directly responsible for processing invoices and issuing payments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Process/Code invoices for payment
- Process weekly check run
- Process online tax payments & automated vendor payments
- Prepare monthly journal entries for Controller
- Prepare reconciliations of various accounts as requested by Controller
- Serve as back up for Sales Coordinator by answering customer calls, entering orders and arranging deliveries of product
- Provide support and serve as backup for Payroll Coordinator
- Enter and apply daily deposits in sales system
Sort and distribute daily mail
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
- Complete and distribute 1099's
- Prepare annual reports for Controller
- Order office supplies
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associates Degree in Business or Accounting preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting position
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Proficiently detail oriented
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Able to multi-task
