Troubleshoot, repair, and fabricate machinery in a timely, safe, and accurate manner while keeping the impact on production as minimal as possible. Perform skilled fitting and aligning as required using precision measuring instruments for exacting measurements. Maintain machines and support equipment for all departments including preventative maintenance. Work from drawings, specifications, and job layouts. Installation, assembly, movement, or disassembly of machinery. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system. Find and order parts as needed. Capacity to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable to speak effectively with employees of the organization. Aptitude to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Proficiencyto readand interpret ruler measurements. Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift.
