Athletic Coach Job Description
Athletic Coaches at The Brook Hill School report to the Director of Athletics and are responsible for the proper care of the students, program, and equipment under their purview using a Christian worldview. Brook Hill coaches are expected to support one another and work together toward an excellent overall athletic program.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain an active school program which meets student-athletes' needs and promotes student-athlete development, good sportsmanship, and Christian ideals.
Take ownership in the day-to-day operations of the athletic department programs and assist other coaches, including but not limited to: transportation, equipment management, facility management, roster maintenance.
Supervise student-athletes prior to, during, and after all sanctioned sports events and practices to ensure student safety and overall success of the program.
Consistently partner and communicate with parents in the shared desire of student growth and success by providing scheduling and athletic performance information, suggesting resources, and addressing parents' concerns.
Maintain records by documenting accomplishments, attendance, and behavior.
Engage in ongoing communication and collaboration with Brook Hill team members in order to strengthen student performance and support.
Continue professional and technical growth by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Participate in the broader ministry of Brook Hill by contributing time, talent and treasure beyond assigned role and responsibilities.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
