Job Summary
The Dishwasher (Utility Steward) transports and sanitizes culinary tools and serving ware to ensure chefs, bus personnel, and servers have suitable equipment for guests’ dining enjoyment. This position replenishes all cleaned dishes and utensils. Additionally, the Dishwasher ensures the cleanliness of physical surroundings.
Essential Functions:

Service Responsibilities:
Washes dishes and various cooking utensils. Replenishes clean glasses, silverware, and plates.
Conducts routine cleaning to meet health department standards.
Polishes and maintains silver items.
Disposes of waste from food and beverage areas, transporting waste to the loading dock dumpster.
Organizes food stock and dry goods, ensuring proper placement.

Support Responsibilities:
Executes regular cleaning duties using approved cleaning agents as designated by the supervisor to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Cleans and dries the floor thoroughly to prevent slip and fall incidents.
Separates linens from other service items to facilitate proper laundering.
Fulfills additional tasks upon request, including cleaning up unexpected spills, executing special guest requests, among others.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively with other departments and employees to ensure seamless execution of guest dining experiences and to deliver exceptional customer service.
Ensures all customer interactions adhere to the highest standards of customer service excellence.
Attempts to communicate with guests in guest’s native language, if applicable.
Reports maintenance deficiencies, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Follows Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and report any defective, damaged, or lost PPE including equipment that does not fit properly to management.
Follows all safety procedures and be able to recognize and act in emergency situations.
Education and Experience:
High School Degree or equivalent preferred.
Work experience in hospitality or a related field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the company.
Strong English communication abilities, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and colleagues.
Ability to perform duties in extreme temperature ranges.
Learns and performs all essential functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision.
Ability to operate in a 7-day per week, 24-hour per day business setting.
Demonstrated capacity to address real-world challenges and navigate diverse scenarios.
