CTG Procurement Agent I in Buffalo, New York
CTG is seeking to fill a Procurement Agent I opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.
Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 6 months with possible conversion to perm.
Overview:
The Procurement Agent I assists with the implementation of sourced programs that provide goods and services through the procurement system. This role ensures compliance with corporate procurement policies, maximizes the utilization of preferred programs, and provides excellent service to internal customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with the implementation of Bank-wide commodity programs established through the Corporate Procurement Department.
Educate, train, and promote employee use of Bank-established programs for ordering goods and services, ensuring understanding of benefits and vendor selection.
Ensure Bank-wide purchases are processed through Procurement Operations to reduce independent spend outside preferred programs.
Process non-catalog orders through the Procurement system while ensuring compliance with audit procedures and corporate procurement policies.
Assist employees in finding required items and obtaining pricing.
Analyze commodity program spend and recommend changes, including additions or deletions of specific catalog items and adjustments for price fluctuations.
Audit and process consolidated program invoices to ensure appropriateness and accuracy before payment.
Validate signing authority and signature verification for expense and capital orders to ensure policy adherence.
Understand and adhere to the company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the company's Risk Appetite.
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an inclusive environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit recommendations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
Ability to learn, grow, and adapt to changing responsibilities.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Experience with Power BI (PBI) is a plus.
Prior experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
