Six Flags Director, Workforce Management in BUENA PARK, California
Overview:
The position will work with all Departments to direct the labor management and scheduling process to ensure that appropriate staffing requirements are met for the park to drive best in class guest service and park profitability. Responsible for overseeing regulatory and company policies surrounding breaks and working with Internal Audit, Human Resources and Payroll to ensure all policies and procedures are upheld.
Salary details based on experience: $103,200 - $137,600/yr.
Responsibilities:
Build a Workforce Management team to transform how our labor is efficiently managed
Work with park management teams to ensure the park is maximizing both guest service and profitability
Oversee labor scheduling processes and provide cross functional support to departmental managers in the areas of forecasting and reporting. Provide recommendations for improvements based upon reports
Monitor productivity of labor force utilizing the WFM system, reporting, and dashboards and provide feedback to operating divisions and General Manager
Analyze historical trends and future projections to create forecasting, scheduling, and staffing plans
Work with management teams to oversee workforce optimization programs to ensure innovation and standardization of best practices across all divisions
Serve as the WFM system owner, working with the vendor and Corporate Director of WFM and WFM System Administrator on system issues and upgrades
Coordinate review and deployment of Business Intelligence that impacts on labor deployment and guest satisfaction
Define key metrics to provide managers a solid understanding of business performance
Establish reporting methods around key metrics related to WFM and ensure KPI’s are met
Stay current on internal work processes, policies, and procedures and identify recurring problems around them; contribute ideas on ways to resolve identified problems
Analyze, manage and adjust position training/certification requirements to ensure staffing levels are achieved
Work with Internal Audit, HR, and management teams to ensure compliance standards are being met
Work with IT to coordinate resources and resolve issues with time clocks or other resources to ensure the time and attendance system and process is working at an optimum level
Qualifications:
Degree in related field from accredited college/university or equivalent experience in Workforce Management
5+ years of relevant experience working in a leadership role
Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate clearly and persuasively both verbally and in writing
Proven training experience with both development and facilitation
Strong analytical skills, creative thinking, critical reasoning and intellectual curiosity
Advanced MS Office skills including MS Excel (Pivot Tables/Pivot Reporting, VBA, Macros, VLOOKUP)
Strong ability to lead and partner in cross-functional teams
Knowledge of workforce management and awareness of WFM and industry trends and best practices
Ability to work odd shifts, weekends and holidays
