Kuehne+Nagel Sales Manager – Road Logistics in Bucharest, Romania

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence on Romania territory. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of road logistics and a proven track record in developing strategic business relationships.

Your Role

Are you a seasoned professional with extensive experience in logistics and freight, ready to lead our Road Logistics sales team? You’ll play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Management of the Sales department to ensure commercial success and achievement of the targets.

  • Foster a culture of success and high performance through leadership, guidance, and coaching.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the Road Logistics Sales Team.

  • Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across other divisions to enhance collective expertise.

  • Conceptual development and subsequent implementation of strategic guidelines with the aim of gaining market share and sales and maintaining them through optimal support.

  • Ensuring professional customer service with a focus on potential-oriented customer development.

  • Monitor performance metrics, ensuring a robust pipeline and high closing ratio to meet targets and business plans.

  • Carrying out analyses and evaluations of existing key sales figures and deriving measures in the event of deviations.

  • Ensuring the documentation of all sales activities of sales team and the business potential, progress, and success in the CRM system.

  • Providing specific support for major customers, considering their processes and specifications to ensure long-term loyalty from a commercial perspective.

  • Conduct thorough market analysis and networking to expand the client base and revenue streams.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing customized solutions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as Sales Manager in freight forwarding, it is mandatory.

  • Experience in developing, mentoring, and cultivating a high performing team to deliver results.

  • Knowledge of Road Logistics services and related solutions, it is mandatory.

  • Strategic mindset for developing long-term customer solutions with continuous improvement.

  • Track record in solutions sales with proven success in gaining new business and growing margins.

  • Ambitious and driven to exceed sales targets and KPI.

  • Demonstrable negotiating and influencing skills that deliver results.
