What’s the job?
The Maintenance Planner’s primary objective is the planning of all resources to insure safe and efficient execution of all scheduled maintenance work, thus keeping plant equipment in condition to deliver full design capacity and reliability, optimizing assets profitability for the life of the organization. A major part of this is maintaining an efficient preventive maintenance program. Works closely with all members of the maintenance team in achieving these objectives. This person will be responsible for cataloging the maintenance spares; managing the work order system; managing the tasking entry into the CMMS, and setting the system up to maintain accurate equipment history.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Prioritize and Drive Safety & Environment Work Order Completion
Responsible for daily scheduling of maintenance activities for facility
Identify and prioritize routine maintenance, recommend schedules to maintenance department, publish weekly maintenance schedules and planned work
Establish the preparatory work required prior to scheduled equipment down time.
Work with the Site Buyer and Storeroom Coordinator to update and maintain the equipment parts catalog, and develop parts catalogs for existing equipment that have none, as well as develop equipment tool list for jobs that require such.

- Check the validity of the work orders and gather all pertinent information to improve the content and quality of information on work orders
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial preferred) or equivalent field experience
PREFERRED OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair
2+ years of experience in planning major work and plant shutdowns using computer software
2+ years of experience with Computerized Mechanical Maintenance Systems. (SAP is preferred)
Knowledge of problem-solving techniques (i.e. Pareto Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, etc.)
Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $79,500 to $123,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,400 to $135,800.
