Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an Assembly Technician and play a pivotal role in building metal frames for large switchboards. In this position, you will navigate the production shop to gather necessary materials such as sheet metal, aluminum, and copper to construct the frame according to the provided blueprints. At your workstation, you will measure parts, utilize hand tools to assemble custom switchboards based on customer specifications, and ensure the quality of your assembly. Your completed work will then be handed over to a Wiring Technician for further processing. This role is crucial in maintaining the operational integrity of essential building equipment, ensuring that 'the lights stay on' in various facilities.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Brookston, Indiana.

Work Environment

This position operates in a first shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with little to no overtime required. Our workshop offers a clean and well-lit environment, making it easier to work with small parts and wires. The ambiance is generally quiet with minimal noise disruptions, mainly from occasional use of power drills. You are welcome to wear comfortable attire such as jeans and sweatshirts, and listen to headphones while working. Closed-toed shoes are mandatory for safety. Our work environment is highly rated and provides a pleasant and efficient space for our team members.
