Would you like to discover what is the Payroll department responsible for in an international company? Definitely the main goal is to process employee’s salaries on time but there is much more! The Payroll department is interacting with teams like Human Resources, Rewards, General Ledger, Treasury and many other. How would your summer payroll job look like? Let’s see! Do you want to have "a little something" in your CV what set you apart from other students in the labor market? The purpose of this internship is to prepare students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.

Working hours are 40 hours/week

Responsibilities:

  • Support payroll processing for EMEA region & US

  • Download a report with payroll data for the current month and compare to previous month to check changes

  • Gather any other HR input information for current month

  • Create a brought forward report

  • Provide the input information to the payroll provider

  • Download the payroll output from payroll provider’s software

  • Check the payslips and provided overview with the provided input information

  • Discuss with payroll provider possible changes

  • Create Gross to net report for final Manager’s review

  • Prepare the salary payment requests

  • Review of provided payroll journal and send to General Ledger team

  • Communicate with the payroll provider and other teams

  • Participate on a payroll project

Qualifications:

  • Proficient level of English (B2)

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook

  • Interest in Finance & HR field

  • Highly organized and detailed personality

  • Good interpersonal skills with a customer service approach and a team spirit

    Training plan:

  • Explanation of payroll process & payroll elements

  • Payroll training for specific countries

  • Shadowing on other department
