As a Software Engineer focused on Fantasy Sports you will be part of a diverse and talented organization focused on building and maintaining complex web applications for ESPN.com. You will be a member of a team building the world’s #1 fantasy sports products working with modern server-side and web technologies such as JavaScript, Node and React to deliver scalable and sophisticated solutions for new product features and core site architecture.

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in relevant industry experience
Proven understanding of front-end web development technologies and principles
Knowledge of JavaScript, JS frameworks, and server-side templating
Experience with task automation (Grunt, Gulp, WebPack) and CSS Preprocessors (Less, Sass) a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Build templates and modules that are used by millions of fans
Develop and enhance core site functionality using server-side templating and JavaScript
Implement best practices to continually increase performance and scalability
Work with product and project management to refine specs and timelines
Partner with other engineering teams to deliver best solutions
Driven and self-motivated
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
The hiring range for this position in California is $112,600 - $151,000 per year and in New York is $118,000 - $158,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
