What to Expect :
The Facilities Supervisor based at our Brampton office reporting into the Sr. Manger, Projects, Real Estate. This position is responsible for the management of Brampton Office Facility services to support all business teams. Focus is to ensure the organization has the most suitable and safe working environment for its employees and their activities at the most effective cost.
A day in the life of a Facilities Supervisor:
Customer Service & Office Operations:
• Manage overall building safety, facility maintenance, and daily operations for 250+ employees.
• Serve as the main point of contact for office-related inquiries and issues, such as supplies, IT, equipment, room bookings, and maintenance.
• Oversee third-party resources for reception, office cleanliness, company store management, and equipment upkeep.
• Manage secondary office storage spaces, including the company store and sample rooms.
Facilities Projects & IT Support:
• Work with business teams to address space needs and implement improvements (e.g., new lighting, flooring, workstations).
• Support IT initiatives, including security upgrades and tech implementations.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
• Act as the lead for health and safety (H&S) initiatives, ensuring compliance with Nestle Safety Management System (NSMS).
• Schedule and prepare for ISO audits, addressing non-conformities and maintaining documentation.
Security Management:
• Handle all site-related security concerns, including emergency evacuations and coordination with security services.
• Oversee employee access pass administration.
Company Store Operations:
• Manage and liaise for company stores across five locations.
• Handle software, product suppliers, and inventory, including monthly and annual sales reviews.
Site Initiatives & Employee Engagement:
• Plan and promote corporate events, luncheons, and charity activities to foster a positive work environment.
Finance & Transactional Duties:
• Source-to-Pay processes such as purchase order creation, A/P processing and invoice resolution, reconciliations for various sites.
• Conduct annual reviews of office assets, replacing or decommissioning as needed.
Role Requirements
• Education: Completion of a High School Diploma. Post Secondary training in facility design / planning an asset.
• Experience in a customer service role or equivalent and in modular furniture layout, acquisition, installation, and project management.
• Technical: Must possess a general working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical systems, and architectural drawings.
• Willing to work flexible hours, be on call for facility emergencies and carry a cell phone.
• The physical demands are considered moderate due to extensive walking, with occasional lifting, moving, carrying and handling furniture and/or objects.
Preferred Skills
• Provide quality customer service. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and contractors.
• The role requires flexibility, with willingness to work extended hours and respond to emergencies, involving moderate physical demands (e.g., walking, lifting, and moving furniture).
• The position requires 100% on-site presence. The candidate must be available to work exclusively at the designated site and be physically present for all job responsibilities and duties. Remote work or off-site arrangements are not applicable to this role.
