We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, team-oriented individual for the Electrician position in Bradford, Pennsylvania. This opening is for 1st shift but may be required to work all shifts in the plant.
Primary Function -The primary function of the Electrician is to wo rk closely with Production Department to improve our processes. Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, support equipment and utilities in order to keep machines operating efficiently. This includes machines and systems involved with Blow Molding.
Responsibilities:
SAFETY
Provide a safe working environment for all employees to ensure an acceptable incident rate.
Make use of the STOP safety program.
Participate in the shift Safety Sub-Committee.
Always use Lock Out / Tag Out when required & observe Cardinal Rule at all times.
Use NFPA 70e Arc Flash PPE as required.
PLANT QUALITY
Ensure plant is maintained at a high standard of housekeeping & 5S is fully sustained.
Assist to ensure that CTF characteristics are meeting process capability goals.
Participate in teamwork to accomplish a satisfactory score on the Corporate MS & GMP audits.
Ensure GMP’s are followed at all times.
Maintain plant security.
Ensure return sales and warranty costs do not exceed targeted % of sales.
Initiating corrective/preventive and continuous improvement opportunities through defined/document channels, and actively participate in developing, implementing, and verifying corrective/improvement actions.
Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the machine is running a quality part by maintaining a stable process.
All other duties as assigned, including assisting and learning job requirements of other job classifications as required.
Preventative maintenance on machines when scheduled, complete and close out work orders.
Maintain maintenance logs, records, and other documentation.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Maintain clear effective communication with others in order to produce maximum results with minimum hassle.
Adhere to Lock out/Tag out program.
Observe all safe practice guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Safely and efficiently operate equipment on all production lines.
Participate in the correction of any line safety issues.
Perform required checks.
Working knowledge of all electrical components.
Adhere to all Arc Flash requirements.
Complete understanding of recent NEC standards and NFPA 70e Regulations.
Help achieve successful performance for the MS and GMP audit.
Position Requirements
Satisfactory work and attendance record.
Knowledge of safety and quality procedures.
Two year associates electrical/electronics degree, or similar training in an accredited apprentice program required. Extensive training and thorough understanding and operation of PLC programming, wiring and troubleshooting.
PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley (SLC500) and Siemens (S7).
Proficient use of electrical testing equipment.
Be able to interpret and work from all electrical schematics.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Two year Associate Degree in Industrial Electricity or related field is a plus. Minimum of five years industrial maintenance mechanic experience.
Language Skills: English verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routing reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. PLC skills.
Mechanical Skills : Knowledge of welding, shop equipment (lathe, drill press, mill, cut-off saw, arbor press and hydraulic press), and hand tools. Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, electrical and complex mechanical equipment. Ability to perform at least one of the following welding functions; helic-arc, arc, or gas welding.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Become certified as a lift truck operator and to maintain certification.

Compensation Statement
The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
