Job Title: Production Worker | 1st & 3rd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Material Handling Clerk to manage the movement of materials within our plant, including flake, pellet, or bales. The position involves documentation, use of pallet jacks and lifts, computer-based tracking systems, and quality checks. This role requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in various facility areas, including elevated machinery.

Responsibilities

• Move materials within the plant, including flake, pellet, or bales.

• Document incoming and outgoing products on the floor.

• Operate pallet jacks and lifts to move products around.

• Utilize computer-based systems to monitor, document, and track production.

• Load and unload rail cars as needed.

• Walk up and down stairs around machinery to ensure machine accuracy (up to 40 feet in the air).

• Conduct quality checks on lines, including obtaining numbers, temperature readings, and monitoring.

• Participate in cross-training throughout the facility.

• Utilize mechanical abilities, including hand and power tools, if required.

• Receive training in fall protection, confined space, and forklift operation for those demonstrating internal growth.

Essential Skills

• Previous forklift usage (training provided on-site).

• Material handling experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• 3+ years of job tenure at one company (job tenure reviewed).

• Proficiency in computer usage (Excel, Word, emails).

Work Environment

Our brand-new facility, part of a 49 million dollar expansion, is a food-grade pellet facility. Shifts available include (2) A Shift, (2) D Shift (nights), and (1) B Shift (nights), with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This is a temp-to-hire position with a 4-month contract. Safety sleeves and shirts are provided as needed. The work environment may include some dust and noise, especially when working in the older facility. Please note there may be a small language barrier with certain leadership, but efforts are being made to improve this internally.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bowling Green, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
