Lead Security Officer - Certified Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $20.36 - $30.54 an hour - Full-Time Days, 36 hours per week +$2.00/hr for weekend shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Lead Security Officer, who protects all Boulder Community Hospital buildings and property.

Qualifications •High school graduate desired. •Valid driver's license. •Good driving record. •BLS by end of conditional period. •Certify in Handle With Care (HWC) within 1 month of hire and recertify annually thereafter. •IAHSS certification may be required for other advanced versions of this job. •Certify in Taser training and use within six months of hire and re-certify annually thereafter. •Previous security experience preferred. •IAHSS certification at the Advanced Level and recertification every 3rd year. •Capable of developing and executing Code Red, Black, Infant and/or Pediatric Abduction exercises or drills. •Capable of assisting with Code Active Harmer exercise development and/or execution.
Responsibilities •Provide first line supervisory capabilities and be able to exercise appropriate decisional capabilities as a lead security presence. •Assist Security/Emergency Preparedness Supervisor with corrective and disciplinary actions as appropriate. •Responsible for initiating, leading, and documenting panic alarm testing. •Responsible for the receipt and pass on of all valuables for each shift assigned. •Responsible for the receipt and pass on of all pertinent shift information. •Makes regular, frequent and thorough security rounds as prescribed by policy. •Is available to assist visitors and staff, as well as ambulance, police, fire and helicopter personnel. •Intervenes with difficult or disruptive patients and/or visitors with the lowest level intervention possible. •Problem-solves situations and acts in a well-thought out manner. •Discovers and corrects any problems which may make an area a security or safety risk.
