Brunswick County Government Nutritionist I, II (WIC Program) in Bolivia, North Carolina
The
Nutritionistwill provide professional nutritional services for county Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program to include general nutrition and comprehensive nutritional counseling for program population within the county. This position applies nutritional theories and concepts through nutritional assessments and
requiredcounseling. In this role, you may be required to drive a county vehicle to work as needed at other county WIC sites.
Education and Experience
Nutritionist I:
- Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education-approved Didactic Program in Dietetics; or
- Dietetic Technician, Registered with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education with a bachelors degree in any subject area from an accredited four-year college or university; or
- Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or Community Nutrition from an accredited four-year college or university; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Nutritionist II:
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetics Registration; or
- Masters degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or Nutrition; or
- Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education-approved Didactic Program in Dietetics and two years nutrition experience; or
- Dietetic Technician, Registered with the Commission on Dietetics Registration with a bachelors degree in any subject area from an accredited four-year college or university and two years nutrition experience; or
- Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or Community Nutrition from an accredited four-year college or university and two years nutrition experience; and
- Designated Breastfeeding Expert training.

- Nutritionist I: $22.18/hr - $29.94/hr
- Nutritionist II: $25.68/hr - $34.66/hr
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment. Must be able to exert up to 10-20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
