Insight Global Asset Manager - Energy in Blythe, California
Job Description
Our client in Blythe, California, is looking for an Asset Manager to join their team immediately. This will be supporting a large energy client, and you will be responsible for monitoring and analysis of current energy market trends and conditions and will work with plant scheduling coordinator to ensure optimal performance. Additional responsibilities include:
Monitor and analyze energy market trends, prices, and regulations to identify opportunities and risks.
Implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and profitability of power plant operations.
Work closely with plants scheduling coordinator developing daily bid strategies.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Daily meetings (at 8:30AM) with Scheduling Coordinator to go over strategies and establish a course of action for energy trades and to calculate what revenue will be available to verify for invoicing purposes

Skills and Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management within the energy sector (preferably California market), with a focus on combined cycle power plants and procurement.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Proficiency with MS Excel
Knowledge of ISO website and ICE (intercontinental commodities exchange) website Bachelor's degree null
