Job Description:

As a Summer Manual Packaging Operator, you will be a crucial part of our production team, responsible for assembling, packaging, and preparing store displays to be shipped to our customers. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble store displays according to specifications and instructions.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to construct display components.
  • Ensure all displays are built to quality standards and meet customer requirements.
  • Pack and prepare displays for shipment, ensuring they are secure and ready for transport.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking materials as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with teammates and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must meet the assessment requirements for this position.
  • Must be able to use technology to evaluate/communicate the status of the process/product and must pass computer literacy assessment.
  • Must be able to understand and act upon all safety and environmental requirements and other related communications.
  • Must be able to visually differentiate between products and be able to hear audible alarms, instructions, and commands.
  • Must be able to read and understand Bill of Lading.
  • Must be able to efficiently interact with and use computer systems.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow quality management system.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds frequently---duration of shift if necessary. Must be able to lift 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, walking, and climbing stairways and ladders frequently
  • Must be able to climb ladders up to 110 feet.
  • Must be able to talk and hear radio communications as well as phone.
