A Brief Overview\ \ The Secondary Market Specialist I processes mortgage loan rate locks, achieves loan placement to investors, and follows established lending policies and procedures. This position involves mastering selling, delivery and funding to investors and posting daily interest rates. The Secondary Market Specialist I is a multifunctional, customer-oriented individual who relies on instructions and pre-established procedures to perform the functions of this job. The Secondary Market Specialist I reports to the department supervisor.\ \ What you will do

• Post daily interest rates and process rate locks utilizing Bank software
• Understand and utilize Freddie Mac\'s and Fannie Mae\'s Selling Systems for contract execution, loan delivery and post-funding
• Analyze and edit data reports to align with custodial transactions and perform custodial account reconciliations for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Federal Home Loan Bank
• Maintain pipeline reports and notify management of status as needed
• Ship loan packages to investors for funding
• Process loan modifications and balloon re-sets
• Process fundings with Correspondent Banks as part of loan purchases
• Monitor trailing documents for loans purchased from Correspondent Banks
• Send trailing documents for Servicing Released loans to Investor
• Work with Secondary Market Lead to ensure work product accuracy and timely submission

Other Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelors Degree and Minimum 3 Years Mortgage Loan Processing or Loan Servicing Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 Years Retail Banking Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
