Job Title: HR Coordinator

Job Description

The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in the HR department by supporting the hiring process, coordinating onboarding activities, managing data entry, and scheduling appointments. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Director and assist two HR Generalists in the recruitment and hiring of over 100 manufacturing employees.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support hiring events, including job fairs, interviews, and company presentations.

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive experience.

  • Accurately enter and manage employee data in the HR system, maintaining up-to-date and organized records.

  • Schedule appointments and meetings for the HR Director and HR Generalists.

  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of HR-related documents, including offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding materials.

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling inquiries.

  • Collaborate with the HR team to implement and improve HR processes and procedures.

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ year of HR experience

  • Confidentiality and willingness to work with a team

  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • HR experience within manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors

  • Experience with onboarding, recruiting, HR administration, employee relations, payroll, HR systems, employee benefits, FMLA, and talent management

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees and candidates

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Work Environment

This person will report to the HR Director and will be working alongside two other HR Generalists. The HR team works closely together and forms a tight-knit group. The dress code is business casual, with jeans acceptable daily. The position is on-site, with working hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, five days a week. This is a contract position for a large volume of hiring.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
