Senior Financial and Regulatory Reporting Analyst
Management Resources has partnered with a client for a Senior Financial and Regulatory Reporting Analyst for a contract role. This role is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing key insights to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial reporting within the banking industry and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, including Call Reports and Federal Reserve submissions.
Responsibilities of Senior Financial and Regulatory Reporting Analyst
Prepare and submit Call Reports and other regulatory filings in compliance with banking regulations.
Develop and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Support the Controller in the preparation of the bank’s annual audited financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Generate monthly internal financial reports, including Board reports and related financial analyses, to support executive decision-making.
Assist the Controller and CFO in compiling quarterly and annual financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
Prepare and submit regulatory filings, including but not limited to the quarterly Call Report and various Federal Reserve reports, within designated deadlines.
Collect, analyze, and validate financial data from multiple departments across the bank to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
Stay informed about regulatory changes and adjust financial reporting processes accordingly to maintain compliance.
Work closely with internal teams—including accounting, credit, lending, operations, and risk management—to obtain necessary data and meet reporting requirements.
Conduct ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to support management in strategic decision-making.
Oversee the bank’s financial reporting and data processing systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial reporting regulations.
Participate in senior management discussions, particularly those related to accounting policies and financial reporting matters that impact the bank.
Stay up to date with changes in financial and regulatory reporting requirements in the banking industry.
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications of Senior Financial and Regulatory Reporting Analyst
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the banking industry or a public accounting firm.
Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial and regulatory data, identify trends, and assess their impact on the bank's financial outlook.
Proven ability to synthesize complex financial information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and numerical data effectively to senior management and board members.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
