Intermountain Health Customer Service Representative in Billings, Montana

Job Description:

Provides receptionist and clerical support in preparing, coordinating and compiling patient records, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: Full-time 8:00am - 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)

* We are closed for all recognized Intermountain holidays

Position Summary

In this position, the Customer Service Representative provides assistance to MSM customers, referral sources and staff regarding available medical product services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Assistance

·Assists customers and referral sources on the phone and on the sales floor, regarding all non-clinical and non-manufacturability pedorthotic/orthotic/prosthetic products, non-clinical respiratory care products, and all home medical product services

  • Answers phones, routes orders or calls and enters and confirms work orders for MSM personnel to help initiate set-ups, deliveries, pick-ups and questions.

  • Obtains verbal orders to dispense medically necessary items and determine coverage of medical products provided.

  • Obtains confirmation of verbal orders and updates orders

Billing and Office Support

  • Verifies patients’ insurance policies to determine eligibility and out-of-pocket expenses, ensuring ABNs are signed and other proper Medicare forms

·Keeps charts and files up to date, accurate and in order

·Enters documentation in TIMS to enable billing to occur

·Maintains write off balance, excluding collection accounts, uncompensated care and interdepartmental sales.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred

  • At least one (1) year of customer services or guest relations experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.- and -Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.- and -See and read computer monitors and documents.- and -Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.- and -May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$16.83 - $21.88
