Amazon Sr. Technical Program Manager - Berlin, Fire TV Experience in Berlin, Germany

Description

Join our Berlin team! We're building Fire TV device components that help the user setup, interact, and control Fire TV devices. We are looking for talented engineers to help Fire TV continue being the global leader in entertainment with the best experience for customers and partners, and the broadest selection of content and services. This is a high visibility team which owns a key piece of Fire TV technology, and we have almost complete cross-functional ownership of our components and roadmap based in Berlin (we still rely on Seattle for UX support, and continue to have close interactions with partner teams).

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for a strong TPM leader to help drive the definition, coordination, planning, and execution of one of the domains based in Berlin. The team is new and growing, and engages with many internal partners, as we own a set of central Fire TV components with broad impact. The role will involve close cooperation with development, planning, and our cross-organization partners to deliver a robust, secure, and compelling experience to millions of customers worldwide.

A day in the life

The team is fresh and eager, and needs a TPM who can help rationalize execution, provide air cover, and have a high bar in communication and coordination. Connecting the dots, and bringing everyone along for the ride are daily bread. This is especially relevant as the Berlin team has end to end (from roadmap to execution) ownership of the features it develops, and needs to set a high bar for responsiveness, communication, and commitment to delivery, as we work with our worldwide Amazon partners.

About the team

The Amazon Fire TV team in Berlin delivers some of the experiences on Amazon's streaming media devices, including the Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV Edition TVs . We deliver the connective tissue of the Fire TV experience, streamlining the customer journey from onboarding through configuration and second screen interaction, so that customers can get to their content without friction and in the way they want, with the devices they choose.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

  • Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management

  • Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams

  • Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
