We are looking for an experienced Java Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Java 8+, SpringBoot, AWS, microservices, NoSQL databases, Kafka and Kubernetes. The Java Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure applications that meet the business requirements.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

In this role you will:

• Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency java applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance

• Analysing user requirements to inform application design.

• Defining application objectives and functionality.

• Aligning application design with business goals.

• Developing and testing software.

• Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise.

• Producing detailed design documentation.

• Recommending changes to existing Java infrastructure.

• Developing documentation to assist users.

• Work closely with tech -lead to finish coding assignments

• Ensure that the solutions are timely in nature and through detailed comparative analysis of solutions options with global stake holders, solutions are scalable, sustainable, fault tolerant, and within operational cost budgets.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

• A minimum of 3 years of technical & professional experience in software development.

Technical Expertise:

• 3+ Years experience in Core Java (Java 8 or above)

• Knowledge in Spring boot/Quarks

• Experience in Code versioning tool (Preferably GIT)

• 3+ years of experience in Docker/Kubernetes

• 3+ Years of experience in AWS

• Strong knowledge into data-structures and algorithms

• Understanding Kafka involves creating consumers, producers, partitions, and topics, as well as performance tuning.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of BDD

• Knowledge in Flink/Grafana/Prometheus/helm are added advantage

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services. Understanding of Agile methodologies.
