Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) is a comprehensive analytics platform that provides a wide range of analytic and reporting capabilities. It offers advanced and innovative features in core analytics, ensuring enterprise-class performance, security, scalability, and manageability. Working on cloud technologies, the development team focuses on applications and frameworks to model and manage the common semantic metadata model for analytics, which is central to its ability to query from federated sources.

The product delivers unified functionality for managing and administering all metadata, including sources, calculations, and permissions, to enable enterprises to achieve a single source of truth for all their analytic requirements. The ideal candidate should be someone with strong passion, deep knowledge, and extensive experience in product development, particularly in building highly scalable software products for cloud deployments. Past exposure to analytics products is a preferred qualification. The responsibilities of the role include designing and developing features for the Analytic Server, creating microservices, and integrating with other components.

Responsibilities Include:

• Applying extensive knowledge of software architecture and user experience to architect, develop, and design highly performant applications and services.

• Utilizing technical and project management skills for managing product development work.

• Establishing a world-class development organization through hiring and nurturing top talent in the industry.

• Leading as a manager and team leader, necessitating frequent interaction with other internal product development teams and cross-functional teams (Product Management, Integration Engineering, Security, UX team, and Technical Writers) for designing, building, and leading from the front.

• Engaging in architecture, design, prototyping, and development of various features of OAC

• Collaborating with remote and geographically distributed teams to build the right products using the appropriate building blocks, ensuring easy integration with other products.

• Taking a technically hands-on approach, owning and driving key end-to-end products and services.

• Leading the development of various features in server and metadata areas of OAC, as a manager and team leader.

• Designing and building distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant software systems.

• Participating in the entire software lifecycle, including development, testing, CD/CI, and production operations.

• Working closely with senior management and architects.

Job Requirements:

• Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Familiarity with Agile processes will be an added advantage.

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent related fields.

• 10+ years' experience in building distributed and scalable enterprise systems using a broad range of enterprise technologies, with extensive experience in C++, Java/J2EE, XML, Web services (REST/SOAP), Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Strong passion and interest in learning and working on new technology innovations.

• Excellent knowledge and experience with data structures and algorithms, with great problem-solving skills.

• Strong object-oriented programming and design skills.

• Extensive experience in engineering cloud products.

• Knowledge of multithreading and databases.

• Exposure to software development processes for building enterprise-class products.

Responsibilities

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
