Oracle Principal Software Developer in BENGALURU, India

· 7+ years of experience in the software industry working on design, development and delivery of highly scalable products and services.

· Understanding of the entire product development lifecycle that includes understanding and refining the technical specifications, HLD and LLD of elite products and services, refining the architecture by providing feedback and suggestions, developing, and reviewing code, driving DevOps, managing releases, support and operations.

· Strong knowledge of Java or JVM based languages

· Experience with multi-threading and parallel processing

· Strong knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Map Reduce, Crunch, Spark etc

· Past experience of building scalable, performant, and secure services/modules

· Understanding of Micro Services architecture and API design

· Experience with Container platforms

· Good understanding of testing methodologies

· Experience with Cloud and CI/CD technologies

-- Experience with observability tools like Spunk, New Relic, etc

· Good understanding of versioning tools like Git/SVN

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures as a member of the software engineering division.

  • Define specifications for major new projects in data ingestion and design and develop software based on those specifications.

  • Engage in professional software development tasks, including the development, design, and debugging of software applications, data ingestion pipelines, and microservices.

  • Design and build distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems.

  • Develop cloud services on the modern OCI infrastructure.

  • Involve yourself in the entire software lifecycle, from design and development to quality assurance, production, and post-production.

  • Invest in top-notch engineering and operational practices to maintain high software quality standards.

  • Optimize data processing pipelines for significantly higher throughput and reduced latencies.

  • Use a variety of internal tools at OCI to develop, build, deploy, and fix software.
